challenges and learnings from CAAWS’ Ontario Newcomer

programs for newcomer girls and young women. It is designed
for program leaders and decision-makers with an interest
in promoting healthy living for newcomer girls and young
women. It is valuable for individuals working and volunteering

health units, schools, youth organizations, and others
serving the newcomer community. Stay Tuned!
Program Evaluation Approach and Tools
CAAWS believes community-based evaluation is a useful
approach that allows organizations an opportunity to
create and share information regarding successful programs
that work in their communities. Inclusive evaluation
ensures tools, processes and products that are relevant
and useable for and by stakeholders. As active participants
in the evaluation process and as meaningful contributors
to evaluation products, community stakeholders are quickly
able to learn what is and isn’t working, and can
share this input among partner organizations. Supportive
learning environments ensure space for program participants
and leaders to provide feedback that will be used to
improve future program development, implementation and
management. Download
